Yesterday was the last day Nori will go to daycare. If any of you have talked to me over the past two months at some point the conversation leads to daycare and my continued "fussing" about it. Although mentally I know it is a good place, I continued to feel uneasy about the care she was receiving. And despite trying to convince ourselves it was a good fit, we "weren't feeling it."
So we started to look into other options. In the midst of that looking I went on my first overnight retreat since Nori was born. I spent some time praying for an answer to this lack of peace. During the retreat a friend left a message on my phone that she randomly met a family that was looking to share their nanny! Within the week, we had met the family and the nanny as well as telling the daycare we were leaving.
SO, this coming Monday, Nori will be going to Jonah's (14 mos) house and being cared for my Shirley, her new nanny!
We both feel so great about the change and hopeful that Nori will be have more attention and take better naps. At least her parents will stop fussing!
